Journalists, artists, and politicians strolled the red carpet at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in 2022, which had been postponed for the past two years due to the pandemic.  Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend, Pete Davidson, were one of the celebrities who went to the annual dinner at the Washington Hilton.

President Joe Biden was also the first leader to attend since 2016, when Donald J. Trump, canceled the event as part of his campaign against the “fake news” press, which he called the “enemy of the people.”

Furthermore, Trevor Noah, the evening’s designated humorist, remarked that he was “proud to be speaking tonight at the nation’s most renowned superspreader event.” He made several jokes throughout the night, one of them being, “You guys spent the last two years telling everyone the importance of wearing masks and avoiding large indoor gatherings. Then the second someone offers you a free dinner, you all turn into Joe Rogan.”

Joe Biden also mentioned how the big reason why everyone was gathered was because they have to show the country they’re getting through the pandemic. Funny enough, days after the dinner, a large number of celebrities and journalists who attended tested positive for COVID.

ABC’s Jon Karl, who was in contact with President Biden and Kim Kardashian tested positive, as Maxwell Tani recently reported. Employees of CNN, NBC News, CBS News, Politico, Voice of America, Puck News and the Washington Post also tested positive, according to social media posts, texts, emails and news accounts.

Hopefully, the next WHCD will not be as chaotic as this one with fewer participants becoming ill.
