Girls Volleyball will play this Friday against American Heritage at home. The team is excited to become closer and continue with their hard work throughout the season.

     For their first game of the season Monday, August 22, playing away against Florida Christian, they lost 2 to 0.

     “It felt good playing my first Varsity game. I was intimidated at first, but after a while, I got comfortable and gave it my best,” said sophomore Sunshine Garcia.

     JV had their first game of the season Friday, August 26 against Gulliver at home, and also lost 2 to 0.

     “I am really looking forward to being able to compete in districts this season. I’m also looking forward to how the team’s chemistry moves forward. I’m very excited for the season, and I want to get the most out of it,” said Sunshine Garcia.

     Varsity had a game Monday, August 30, against SLAM, at home winning 2 to 0.

     Team Manager, senior Maya Garcia is confident that the team did its best.

     “They still need to work on their teamwork and ability to understand the game more efficiently,” she explained.
