Mindo Futures is a program where over 700 students focus on everything that has to do with the education, nutrition, and infrastructure, of disadvantaged children. Participants collect and deliver school supplies, clothing, and basic hygiene products.

In addition, they travel mission trips  to schools in Ecuador where high school student-volunteers visit to help these disadvantaged children.

Sophomore Isabella Pacheco, a volunteer, knows a lot about Mindos, and what the trip is like. She recalls seeing God in the children and adults she met.

“Every day at night we had these talks just to see everyone’s perspective of how the trip is going and seeing where everyone is at. It brings everyone,” she said Isabella Pacheco.

Mindos is a trip you take with others to help develop the location by spending time with the children, and helping them feel better by receiving need items such as clothing.

Knowing how grateful we are and seeing what others go through truly puts things into a perspective of life. I can see why it is that we help others as Catholics and why it’s so important.

We made them get closer to us and get to know their story. You get to know their tragic story and help them out.
