Fans took to social media to express their displeasure with regard to the high ticket prices for Drake’s upcoming tour.

Drake Fans Outraged by High “It’s All a Blur” Ticket Prices

I’m sure many of us have heard of the upcoming Drake, “It’s All a Blur” tour. Drake and 21 savage announced they will be coming to Miami June 28 and 29th, but recently they postponed the Miami dates to September 28th and 29th.

Standard admission for tickets start at $137 and can go up to more than $763. The closer your seats are to the stage, the higher the prices. Even for nosebleed seats (the seats furthest away from the stage) prices seem to be incredibly high and almost double the price of Rihanna’s nosebleed tickets (grimygoods.com).

The later those who hope to attend wait to buy their tickets, the higher the prices will be. When the tour was first announced, prices began at $69. As interest goes up, so do prices.

This is called dynamic pricing. Basically, “the ticket prices fluctuate in real time according to the demand and activity on the ticket app/website”(ktla.com). So, if you plan on attending, buy your tickets as soon as possible.

Tour tickets will not be refundable or exchangeable under any circumstances. If the event is canceled for any reason, tickets will still remain unrefundable. (draketix.com).

Many Drake and 21 savage fans have expressed their outrage with the prices and taken their opinions to social media.

Drake and 21 savage are the latest artists to infuriate fans over the high prices of presale and general admission tickets. One fan tweeted “$200+ for nosebleed Drake tickets is criminal.” Another fan wrote, “Those ticket prices gonna make you pull out a second mortgage!”

On March 21, a Canadian law firm filled a lawsuit against Ticketmaster (one of the most well known ticket selling websites for a multitude of events) for allegedly inflating ticket prices for the upcoming Drake concert (bbcnews.com). No further updates on this lawsuit have been made public.

Many fans have decided to accept the high prices and make this an experience to remember. This can be seen by how quickly general tickets and presale sells took off.
