This past Monday, Game 7 took place at 8:30 p.m. from TD Garden Center in Boston. The Heat shocked fans from all over taking the win 4-3.

The Heat recovered after taking a blow 3-0 in the series and advanced to the NBA Finals for the second time in four seasons. With the win, Miami avoids being the first team to go up 3-0 in a playoff series. It did not look good for them after Game 6, but the Heat got it done. The team looked unfazed by Game 7 pressure and didn’t force anything. They were assertive and shot with credibility.

Jimmy Butler guaranteed a victory for Game 7 even after everyone had Miami written off in the wake of their three-game losing streak. With his typical playing, he finished with 28 points, including 3-pointers, seven rebounds, and three steals against one turnover.

“We don’t play just to win the Eastern Conference, we play to win the whole thing,” Butler said. He was later named the Eastern conference finals Most Valuable Player, named after the Celtics Hall of Famer, Larry Bird.

Miami got 56 points from its undrafted players: Martin (26), Gabe Vincent (10), Duncan Robinson (10), Max Strus (8), Haywood Highsmith (2). These guys are serious players with Robinson being one of the most confident shooters in the league.

Although this win caught many by surprise, the Heat made NBA history and were able to prove that hard work truly pays off. The Heat is a big part of Miami culture and after every win or loss, you can see how close the game brings people and how the players impact so many.
