What’s New in Social Media?
November 18, 2019
Just recently, everyone’s favorite social media platforms have all released various new updates.
On Friday, November 8th, Instagram announced that they will soon release an update that hides total like counts, meaning no one can view the amount of likes someone receives.
They’ve already tested this feature in countries such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan, and New Zealand. It will now spread to some areas of the United States, starting the upcoming week.
As TikTok continues to thrive, new features are inevitable. TikTok recently launched “Share to TikTok,” which allows videos from third-party apps be sent directly to TikTok. This means you can upload videos from editing apps, such as PicsArt or Plotaverse.
Facebook has released a new corporate logo, which can be seen when logging into apps such as Instagram and WhatsApp. Instead of the iconic “F”, the new logo features the word “Facebook” in capital letters. The logo’s color alternates between shades of blue, green, purple, red, and orange.
