Should this article be about interactive stories in Netflix, yes or no? Unfortunately for yo,u this article isn’t interactive so that’s not up to you, but it’s recommended you keep reading.

Netflix interactive stories are movies or shows in which the audience gets a say on the decision the characters make. They allow the audience to feel like they are part of the story. It gives them the chance to wave goodbye to yelling at the characters on the TV screen to make the right decision (one which they never seem to make).

“It’s a cool concept but it’s depends on the movie you choose because sometimes no matter what you pick, the ending of the movie is always the same,” recalled Executive Board President, senior Daniela Quiros.

Of course, there are many movies and TV shows that are interactive so that’s not always the case. However, that can happen and it kind of ruins the fun because you are entertained making the choices for the characters hoping for a specific outcome and then the outcome ends up being the same outcome as if you had picked the other choices, disappointing audiences.

“I think it’s good because you can watch it multiple times and never get bored of it because you can change the answers,” senior Sophia Yanes said.

Another good thing about it is that if they are bad movies, they are still worth watching because they are so bad it’s funny. It’s even more amusing when you watch it with friends. There’s something for everyone whether you want to watch something rated G or PG-13, etc. From romantic comedies to scientific fiction, there are specifically 20 options to choose from.

Check out these titles.

“I really enjoy it because it makes me think about my decisions and watch them play out,” said senior Talia Lerebours.

What Talia means is that interactive filmsvalso serve as some kind of learning tool giving viewers the opportunity to practice their decision-making skills. Plus, they give you time so you have to choose fast.

Lastly, these interactive stories have given the audience a voice, becoming highly sought after by many students. According to informal polling of members among the ILS student body, the most recommended on this list is Black Mirror Bandersnatch.
