Last Friday, the ILS JV Boys Basketball team hosted St.Brendan in a non-conference matchup.

Coming off a 45-29 win over Riviera Prep, the boys got off to a hot start once again, scoring 20 points in the 1st quarter, as they held St.Brendan to 2 points.

The Royal Lions added to that with 17 second quarter points, as they headed into halftime up 37-6.

Sophomore Christian Pizzorni led the offense in the 1st half, scoring seven points, as he finished with a game high 12 points.

Freshman guard Joshua Barquin added to the offensive show with nine points.

JV coaches Preston Jackson and Deondre Mickens did an excellent job in setting up the defense, as the Royal Lions held St.Brendan to a scoreless second half, something that is unseen in the sport of basketball.

The JV Boys Basketball team moves now holds a 2-3 record, following a blowout 56-6 victory.

The Boys will prepare for their first road game of the season, as they take on Hebrew Academy on Monday, December 16th.
