Grad Bash! The much-anticipated yearly celebration is drawing near. This year ILS seniors will head to Orlando for the night-long party at an amusement park April 11th. Some ILS students have been waiting since freshman year in anticipation of this event. For the Class of 2025, it will now become a reality.
“When I was a freshman, all I could think about was how I wanted to go to Grad Bash with all the seniors, but I also heard that they had to follow a few rules, too,” said ILS alum Lia Suarez.
While Grad Bash is a total blast, it comes with a few necessary precautions that everyone should be aware of before they leave. Here are some of the rules, according to usastudenttravel.com:
Students may not bring any of the following:
- Large Bags: Backpacks, camera bags, tote bags, and oversized purses larger than 8.5″ x 5.5″.
- Food and Drinks: Includes all beverages, food, and gum. You may bring an empty water bottle.
- Fluid Containers: Any containers holding liquids, such as drinks or perfumes.
- Weapons and Harmful Items: Weapons, knives, laser pointers, chemical irritants, or any items resembling weapons.
- Restricted Substances: Alcohol, controlled substances, over-the-counter medications, electronic cigarettes, and similar items.
- Marking or Etching Tools: Permanent markers or tools designed for etching.
- Aerosols: Aerosol cans or bottles of any type.
- Blankets: None are allowed on the bus.
“I had so much fun at Grad Bash, but I was just so tired by the end that I passed out when I got home,” said alum Gabriella Costa.
In years past, participating seniors have boarded charter buses at the ILS campus in the middle of the night to travel the 200+ miles to Orlando. The bus ride is a mix of joyous feelings, which quickly shift from excitement to sleepiness.
“I can’t wait to be at my favorite place in the world with my friends,” Stephanie Perera voiced.
Senior year is a time to study and enjoy the last few months of high school. That should be celebrated. So, thank you to ILS for giving students a wonderful Grad Bash.
