Universal Studios is planning to debut a new park, Epic Universe, with six epic lands, each more thrilling than the last. The park is set to open May 22nd, 2025 and tickets are already available for purchase. It’s set to double the size of Universal Studios Resort when it opens. The center of Epic Universe, Celestial Park, will lead to four different “portals” to the four lands.
Dark Universe
The section Dark Universe will be focused on Universals monsters, this includes monsters such as Frankenstein and Dracula. A big plus side of Dark Universe is that horror fans won’t have to wait for Halloween Horror nights, since this will offer the same effect all year round. Dark Universe will feature rides such as The Curse Of The Werewolf, said to be a spinning family coaster.
Ministry of Magic
This will be Universal’s third Harry Potter-themed park. Its theme is more on the French side of Harry Potter and features a ride through The Minestry of Magic. There also will be many magical food attractions all throughout the park.
“I think it’s a great addition to the Harry Potter attractions that Universal already has and the food sounds great,” said sophomore Sophie Yetming.
Super Nintendo World
Following in the steps of Universal Studios Hollywood, the new Super Nintendo World will feature a variety of attractions such as Mario Kart: Browsers Challenge, which will put fans into augmented reality where they will shoot shells at targets and earn coins. When visitors get hungry, they can refresh themselves at the Toadstool Cafe.
“I really enjoy going to Disney and Universal. I go many times a year, and I’m very excited to go to Epic Universe. The part I’m most excited about would be The Dark Universe,” said sophomore Rafaella Mandis.
How To Train Your Dragon: The Isle Of Berk
The most exciting attraction at The Isle Of Berk will be Hiccups Wing Gliders which will give fans the impression that they are flying alongside Hiccup and Toothless. Another thrilling attraction will be Fyre Drill, where visitors will go on a thrilling boat and hit targets with water cannons.
Along with all these exciting parks, visitors who can’t get enough of the parks will be able to stay at The Grand Helios Hotel. The hotel will overlook all four lands giving guests a magnificent view.
“I’m really excited to see how the park turns out. I feel like the Universal needed something new for visitors to enjoy,” said sophomore Maria Nordholz.
