Girls’ Soccer Beats Archbishop McCarthy for First Time in its History

Here is your Sunday sports report and upcoming sports schedule.

Girls’ Basketball: The Lady Royals continue their hot start with another 2 wins! First, they defeated Florida Christan 54-31. They also took down a tough Marathon High school team in Marathon (which is always tough) 48-45!

Team is now 5-0 and look to add to that this week.

Boys’ Basketball: Boys Varsity basketball went 1-1 this week. The beat Ransom Everglades 58-48 earlier in the week. Alessio Saumat had 19 points, Lucas Piedra had 11 points and

Mikey Libera-Tait had 8 points. They did drop a close game at home to Archbishop Carroll 51-56. Alessio had 11 points Lucas had 15 versus and Mikey added 8 points.

Girls’ Soccer: The Lady Royal Soccer team notched another 2 wins this week against. The defeated one of the top programs in the state Archbishop McCarthy 1-0! The loan goal came from Sophomore Sofia Cruces while goalkeeper Olivia Rodriguez-Salum had another shutout in goal.

This was the first time in ILS history.

They also won against Chaminade 3-0. Freshman Isabella Studenski scores 2 goals and added 1 assist. Sophomore Arantxa Santacana scored the other goal in the match. Oliva added another shutout in the match giving her 6 on the year. Natalie Islami & Anna Baez added 1 assist each.

Lady Royals are 7-3

Boys’ Soccer: Royal Varsity Soccer dropped its first game of the season against Dwyer High school in West Palm Beach in penalty kicks after a 4-4 draw in regulation. Top performers in the match were Jaiden Fielder and Alvaro Castro with 1 goal each. Andre Zeron added 2.

Royals are 4-1-2.

Boys’ JV Soccer defeated Columbus 2-1 at home.

Cheerleading: Cheerleading teams competed at Bobcat Battle on a Friday night hosted by Lourdes Academy. Varsity placed 1st in their division and JV Placed 2nd in their tough division.

The teams will continue to train hard this week, as they prepare for the UCA Regional competition in hopes to receive a bid to the National Cheerleading Competition in February.

Thursday, December 12, 2024: Boys and Girls Soccer Host Palmer Trinity for 4/6PM matches.

Girls’ Basketball Hosts Divine Savior for a 3:30PM Tip

Boys’ JV Soccer travels to Palmer Trinity for a 3:30PM match.

Boys’ Basketball kicks off their Holiday Classic at SLAM academy 3pm vs ACC @SLAM.

Friday December 13, 2024: Cheerleading has the UCA Regionals competition in Lakeland, Fl at the RP Funding Center. (Also Saturday)

Royal Varsity Basketball plays at 6pm vs Divine Savior @SLAM.

Saturday, December 14, 2024: Basketball Closes out their Holiday Tournament vs Mater Academy 1:30PM @ SLAM.
