A new game, Block Blast, is sweeping through grabbing everyone’s attention with its simple but addictive gameplay. For those who don’t know, the colorful game challenges people to drag blocks and clear lines. The more lines you clear the higher your score becomes. Players can work to beat their high score as combo moves give them high bonus points. The game has no time limit and simply for game play, Block Blast has become everyone’s new favorite.
“Ever since I started playing, I’ve found myself playing for long amounts of time and always during my free time. Block Blast is a simple game, but that’s the best part. It’s easy and helps me relieve my stress at times.” shared sophomore Victoria Caicedo.
Though it is harmless, some consider it important to set limits and avoid spending too much time on the game leading to loss of time and being tired. The satisfaction of clearing rows and beating a high score can tempt users to play for long periods of time.
“At times when I play Block Blast, I find myself playing for over thirty minutes, multiple times a day. It’s my favorite mobile game and I like using it to take up time when I have to wait in lines or when I’m walking somewhere,” said sophomore Vittorio Buttice.
Certain users have reached scores of over 150,000 using strategic block placement and quick thinking, showing just how competitive and addictive the game can be. Reaching numbers like that takes time and patience. New players have to get the hang of it to fully enjoy the challenge.
“I had seen online how many users getting crazy scores, such as 50,000 or 75,000 but didn’t know that there were people getting mind-blowing scores such as 150,000. I hope that with a lot of time and effort I can get my score to be as high as that,” shared sophomore Camila Echeverri.
