It has been a total of 10 months since the Class of 2024 graduated, which means 10 months of adulthood. The transition from high school to college is rumored to be one of the biggest changes a person can experience. Let’s take a look at what some members of the Class of 2024 are up to.
“Right now, I’m at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida,” said alum Jasmine Finley.

Jasmine’s newest hobbies include learning sign language, rock climbing, and rugby. She is enjoying college life and plans to visit the Bahamas for spring break.
“I started flight school in high school, and now that’s what I’m really focused on,” said alum Thomas Bojanic.

Thomas is currently studying aviation at the American Airlines Cadet Program in Fort Pierce. The majority of his schedule revolves around waking up early, studying, and getting in airplanes. His class schedule runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thomas visits Miami every weekend to see his family and his girlfriend, Gabriella Cueto, who is also an ILS alum.
“College has been such a transformative experience. It really is a time where you become your own person and get a glimpse of the real world. The only person keeping track of you is yourself, so you really do learn how to live and operate as an adult. It’s a lot of fun too, especially if you are studying something you love,” recalled alum Sebastian Debora.

Sebastian is currently studying mechanical engineering at UCF. He is deeply focused on his studies every day. Although he loves the freedom, he misses his family a lot. To stay connected, he visits them on long weekends.
“I love studying so much. The work is so intense, but I see myself getting better at designing and sewing,” voiced alum Victoria Harding.

Victoria, more commonly known as Vicky, is studying at a fashion school in Miami called Instituto Marangoni. She has “survived” midterms and is studying even harder than last semester for her finals.

“I’ve just started doing live paintings at the Forsyth Market every weekend,” alum Danna Chalela said.
Danna has been loving her time studying Illustration for Entertainment at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) in Georgia. At this school, she has long breaks and very short semesters, but the workload becomes intense during those semesters.
Although moving on to the next chapter of life may be scary, it is a very necessary step, and even then, you will find your way through it. Good luck to the Class of 2025 on their future graduation and journey through life.
