Is junior Thomas Marques Junqueira Amarante dreaming in class after finishing his work?
Dreams can represent both aspirations and the literal dreams dreamers experience while sleeping. While many people view dreams just as goals to reach, nighttime dreams often carry hidden meanings that reflect subconscious thoughts, emotions, and what some may truly desire.
What Are Dreams?
Dreams are thoughts, images, or feelings that occur while you are sleeping, often creating fake scenarios in your head. They can also be used as things to represent what somebody hopes to accomplish in the future.
Within Dreams there are subcategories such as Lucid Dreaming, Nightmares and Recurring Dreams.
Subsections
Lucid dreaming is when you are aware that you are dreaming while you are still asleep. In these dreams, you can sometimes control what happens, for instance changing the dream’s events or flying. It’s like realizing you’re in a dream and having the ability to make decisions within it.
“I always have been wanting to try to lucid dream. I saw some videos about it and it’s really cool,” said sophomore Nicholas De Izaguirre.
A nightmare is a frightening dream that causes feelings of fear, anxiety, or distress. These dreams can feel very real and often involve terrifying simulations. Nightmares can sometimes be caused when you are stressed, anxious, or dealing with difficult emotions. Nightmares may also wake the user up regardless of the time and usually they wake up sweating and gasping.
Recurring dreams are dreams that happen over and over again, but not necessarily every night. They can be either positive or negative and are more often than not connected to unfulfilled feelings or experiences in the real world.
Whatever you are experiencing, remember, they are just dreams.
