Students and Teachers at ILS Face Many Changes on Campus

The new school year brough many changes to former and newer students. For freshmen, it is always an adjustment, but for students who have attended the school for two years or more, now might be surprised at the alterations.

A new change, for instance, has been the new self-service way of lunch in the cafeteria.

Current junior Vittorio Buttice has stated his mixed feelings about the self-service line.

An issue many people have faced in this new way of lunch has been the long lines.

In previous years at ILS, some teachers had available parking spaces in the bay parking lot, but not any more. Thanks to the growth among the student body and more student drivers, the demand parking spaces increased, resulting in many teachers and some having to park at Mercy Hospital.

The most talked about change headed towards ILS is the change of cellphone rules. This year the school has enforced banning phones in the hallway and the potential ban for phones overall. Many students see this as a bad idea for themselves for many different reasons.
