The Immaculata-La Salle Boys Basketball team is set to begin the 4A District 16 Playoffs on Wednesday, February 12 @ 6p versus Miami Sunset.

LaSalle (10-14), finished the regular season with their best record in 3 years, and are seeded #5 in the District Playoffs.

District 16 consists of: 1. Gulliver 2. Key West 3. Keys Gate 4. Sunset 5. LaSalle 6. St. Brendan).

The Royal Lions face a familiar opponent, as they traveled down to Sunset High on January 10th. ILS took over in the first half, being up by as much as 20. However, the lead began to shorten, and when leading scorer Emilio Ramirez came down on an ankle sprain, things got worse in the 61-54 loss.

This time around, the game is hosted at Gulliver Prep, a much more familiar location, and LaSalle looks to use this as an advantage.

Wirh an ILS win on Wednesday, they would advance to semi-finals and face #1 Gulliver Prep on Friday night. The Raiders (19-6) enter the tournament as the heavy favorites to capture the district title and as a State Championship contender.

LaSalle will need a win over Gulliver on Friday to advance to the District Championship. In order to move onto the regional playoffs, ILS will need to capture the district title.

Game time is set for Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
