Students React to UM vs. Indiana Championship Game
The University of Miami Hurricanes faced Indiana in a big college football championship game that caught the attention of many students and fans. The game was intense from the start and showed how competitive college football can be, especially when a championship is on the line. Even students who don’t usually watch football said this game was exciting to follow.
The matchup stayed close for most of the game, with both teams making strong plays on offense and defense. UM showed confidence and teamwork, while Indiana kept fighting and didn’t make it easy for them. The energy of the game kept fans locked in until the end, with every play feeling important.

Many students watched the game at home with friends or family. “I was actually really into the game. It was stressful to watch, but also fun because it felt like every play mattered,” said junior Maximo Biasutto.. He also said games like this make college football more interesting.

Other students said the championship made them pay more attention than usual.
“I don’t usually watch college football, but since it was a championship game, I wanted to see what would happen. It was way more exciting than I expected,” shared junior Isabella Diaz.
For some students, the game also connected them to school pride and future goals. J
“Watching UM play made me think about college more. It’s cool seeing how much school spirit there is at those games,” said junior Martina Hoyos.
Theology teacher Ms. Katie Church, the daughter of two IU grads, went with her parents to see the game at Hard Rock Stadium.
“I will never forget the experience. Who knew that I would move to a city where the championship game of my parents’ alma mater would be played,” she said.

Even though only one team could win, both UM and Indiana showed effort and determination throughout the game. Fans could tell how much the players cared, which made the game more meaningful to watch. Championship games like this show how much preparation and teamwork go into college sports.
Overall, the UM vs. Indiana championship game was memorable for many students. Whether they were rooting for UM, Indiana, or just watching for fun, the game brought excitement and conversation to campus. Moments like these remind students why sports are such a big part of college culture and why championship games always draw attention.
