These prints were used to create vision boards prior to beginning the Girl Up event.
The SLC was full of energy during F block on Thursday as the Girl Up club hosted a vision boardroom activity open to all girls in school. Girl Up was founded by sophomore Andrea Ordorica and sophomore Isabella Studenski, and focuses on empowering girls in the STEAM focus while also giving students a chance to be creative and have fun.
During the event, students cut out pictures, logos, and words from newspapers and magazines to create personalized vision boards. Each board reflected the goals, dreams, and aspirations of the student who made it. Some included career ambitions, hobbies, or things they wanted to improve about themselves. The activity encouraged students to think about their future while creating.
The event had a mix of students from different grades, all eager to participate. Many students said they enjoyed being able to express themselves in a way that is both personal and visual. For some, it was a new experience, as for others, it was a fun way to organize their thoughts and goals. The vision board project also gave students a chance to support each other and share ideas about their plans for the future.

Sophomore Isabella Studenski said, “We wanted students to clear their minds and set their goals for 2026. It’s a chance to reset and take a break after a tough quarter.”
By the end of F block, the SLC was filled with creative vision boards, many representing their dream colleges, trips, and hopes of the students. The Girl Up club helped make the school a place where girls can feel supported and inspired. Activities like this not only promote creativity, but also help build a community where students can express their ambitions.
“It was a meaningful opportunity to bond with other girls in a new setting as we planned out our goals for the year through vision boards,” said sophomore Claudia Marin.
Overall, the vision board event was a success, giving students a chance to think about their goals, explore their creativity, and connect with others. Girl Up continues to offer fun and meaningful opportunities for students to grow and support each other throughout the year.
