VIP305, which stands for Very Important Purpose 305, and is a student-led nonprofit that connects teenagers to meaningful, hands-on service throughout the Miami community. Through fundraising, outreach, and hands-on volunteer work, the organization supports children battling illness, individuals with disabilities, and families in need. Its mission is rooted in encounter and inclusion, creating service experiences where every person is not only welcomed but able to fully participate. Their mission is to impact the lives of teenagers and allow them to open their eyes to the less fortunate world in our society. Through the VIP Connect Club, the organization has been able to provide students with service hour events and projects that are hands on, personal, and genuine.
“Our work is about creating places where everyone feels like they belong,” said Ms. Yessika Siles, CEO ofVIP305.

“When students serve with us, they are not just helping. They are forming real relationships and learning the value of an inclusive community,” she said.
That mission inspired Pickleball for a Purpose, a charity tournament I organized in partnership withVIP305. What began as a simple idea became a full-scale event that brought students together for something larger than competition. Every registration fee and donation from the tournament went back into VIP305’s programs, helping fund future events specifically structured for participants with disabilities and sensory sensitivities.
“Events like this allow us to expand our inclusive programming and reach more families,” said Mr. Sebastian Lopez Siles, VIP305 Marketing Director and Manager.
Players arrived for the matches, but they left understanding the impact behind each point scored. Pickleball for a Purpose showed that when service is built on joy and community, it becomes more than a requirement. It becomes a way to create spaces where every person is seen, valued, and belongs.
