Junior year brings a new chapter for students at Immaculata-La Salle High School. Their first day marks the halfway point of high school and the beginning of a year filled with new goals, responsibilities, and opportunities. Returning to campus also means reconnecting with classmates and preparing for the challenges ahead. For juniors, the year offers a chance to think about their future while still enjoying everyday school life.
“I am excited to be back with my friends, but junior year feels more serious,” said junior Aldo Mora . “I want to have fun while making sure I stay focused on my grades.”
The first day is a chance to meet teachers, review classroom expectations, and become familiar with new schedules. As students settle into their classes, balancing assignments with sports, clubs and other activities becomes an important goal. Junior year can also bring more conversations about college and possible careers. Starting with organized habits can help students approach these responsibilities with confidence instead of feeling overwhelmed.
Beyond academics, the beginning of junior year gives students another opportunity to build friendships and become more involved in the school community. Joining a club, supporting classmates, or participating in school events can make the year more meaningful. With senior year getting closer, juniors have time to create memories and decide what they want to accomplish before graduation. The first day is the starting point for those plans.
“I want this year to be one I remember,” said junior Derek Cejas. “My goal is to try new things, spend time with my friends ,and make the most of being a junior.”
