The ILS Lionettes Dance Team held a Pura Vida bracelet fundraiser October 19 and 20 during all three lunch periods. The bracelets cost $10 each, giving students an opportunity to support the dance team while purchasing a colorful accessory.
During the two-day fundraiser, students had the chance to purchase Pura Vida bracelets at school during each lunch. The bracelets are known for their colorful designs and casual style, making them a popular accessory among students.
The fundraiser gave students an easy way to get involved and show their support for the team. Activities like these can also help bring the school community together by encouraging students to participate at school events and support their fellow classmates.
Even though the original fundraiser took place over two days, the Lionettes are still selling the bracelets. Students who missed the sale October 19 and 20 can still purchase one by approaching an individual dancer and paying $10.
“I think it’s great that students still have a chance to buy one even if they missed the fundraiser during lunch,” said senior Teresa Kurshingal.
The continued sales give more students the opportunity to purchase a bracelet and support the Lionettes. Students interested in buying one do not need to wait for another official fundraiser day because they can contact a dancer directly.
For the Lionettes, the fundraiser is another opportunity to connect with the student body outside of performances and competitions. It also gives students a simple way to show their school spirit while purchasing something they can wear every day.
“It’s nice to have students support us, and we appreciate everyone who purchases a bracelet,” said sophomore Alexis Mazzawi, a member of the Lionettes.
Students interested in purchasing a Pura Vida bracelet can approach any Lionette dancer at school. Each bracelet costs $10, and sales are continuing while the team makes them available to all.
