According to various reports, including one from the Miami Herald, the Florida High School Athletic Association is still leaving decision-making regarding high school athletics up to individual schools and districts. No final decision has been made regarding state championship events, according to an FHSAA press release.

Miami-Dade County plans to continue with athletic activities, but Broward County is halting all extracurricular activities, including athletics, beginning Monday because of the coronavirus.
“We are, at this point, not canceling sports activities, extracurricular activities or club activities associated directly with schools,” Miami-Dade County superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho said at his press conference.
“We feel that it sends a disconnected message to our community of learners, parents and students if we are maintaining our school system open, but simultaneously canceling activities directly connected to schools.”
At ILS, the spring sports include baseball, lacrosse, softball, track and field and boys volleyball. The baseball team is scheduled to play Hialeah Educational Academy today at 6:30 PM at Tamiami. The softball is scheduled to play at Carol City high school this afternoon at 3:30 PM. Boys volleyball is scheduled to play versus Coral Gables high school today at 3:30 PM.
Unfortunately, the track and field team will not participate in the Cavalry Christian meet next Saturday, since Broward County is cancelling all extracurricular activities.
