As a technology-based school, it is important that we know how to take the correct measures when it comes to the cleanliness of our utilities. While this should always be a priority, now would be a good time—given this crisis— to go over the correct procedures for cleaning Apple products.

It is important to only use a soft, lint-free cloth when cleaning your device. Anything else— such as abrasive cloths, towels, paper towels, or similar items— should be avoided. These types of materials can damage your Apple product and cause scratches.

While wiping your Apple product avoid excessive wiping. This could also lead to scratches and might cause damage. Ensure that your device is unplugged from all external power sources, devices, and cables.

Keep all liquids away from your Apple product. Getting water or any type of liquid on your device— if not specifically instructed to— can cause major damage to it. Avoid getting moisture into any opening. and never use aerosol spray, bleached, or abrasives.

When disinfected you’re Apple product, never spray cleaners directly onto the item. Spray the tiniest bit onto the soft cloth and gently wipe your products.

There is an unbelievable amount of germs on technology, and given that we are all trying to avoid the spread of any more illnesses, we should be cleaning our devices regularly. Taking these precautions ensures that we live a healthier lifestyle and reduces our chance of getting or spreading any germs.
