Be The Light Club will be coming back to ILS for the 2021-2022 school year.

Be The Light was a new service club that is a part of a state-recognized foundation, the Ari Arteaga Foundation. This club is a great way for students to be a part of the community and volunteer as much as they can.

President Ignacio Gamero is excited for the next year, “Because of Covid and the pandemic, and all the guidelines, we weren’t able to do much in-person service as we’d like to, but it’s understandable. Next year though, it’s hopefully going to be a whole different story.

“With the rumors going around that everyone’s going back on campus and more vaccines coming every day, we are very hopeful that next year will be able to do more in-person service, more school-wide outreach, fundraisers, and drives, and really bring that Be The Light communal feeling to the school,” Gamero said.

There will be more opportunities for club members like the executive board and committee opportunities, service hour opportunities, and serving in your community.

Gamero also is hopeful for the next year to see the club blossom.
