Without diversity, it would be impossible for students to be exposed to society and to their classmates’ unique backgrounds and experiences. Since the community of ILS values and prioritizes education, it also promotes economic diversity. Financial scholarships are encouraged by the state of Florida and our beloved Miami to provide kids and teens a chance to enroll at their top-choice schools. The statement “Not all children learn the same way” is one where Step Up and AAA agree. For the greatest learning possibilities, both foundations provide Florida schoolchildren who most need it.

The Step Up foundation is a non-profit scholarship focused on funding the best programs for children of all ages. The scholarships they provide are known as the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) and Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO). Both programs assist financially toward private school tuition and fees. The eligibility requirements are based on income. An example mentioned on their website is, “family of four with an income up to $111,000 annually.” Every year applications are normally due around this time between August-September.  The program is limited to a first-come, first-served basis.

As for the AAA foundation, their goal is to make academic achievement accessible from kindergarten to 12th grade. Students may qualify when entering one of these grade levels, and if the household income is at or below the amount based on their chart. Also, a student-applicant can only be accepted under normal admission policies.

Immaculata-La Salle welcomes applications from existing students, accepting both Step Up and AAA scholarships. In the year 2022, 192 students, or an anticipated average of 22% of current students, are enrolled in this program. Parents may get all of this information from Mrs. Marlen Medina, the school’s finance administrator, who also keeps brochures available. Mrs. Medina informs interested parents or guardians about the advantages, and how it never hurts to apply if you fulfill the requirements on behalf of the scholarship.

Every year more and more students receive this academic achievement which brings new people to our school or helps out the families of those who have been already apart of La Salle.

These scholarships earn praise for their simple application procedures as well as for encouraging students who wish to work hard and achieve academic achievement at their chosen schools. Anyone among the ILS community should find it informative to learn that families pick this school to help their kids reach their objectives. Each individual and family have a unique background, making it remarkable to know eligible students can rely on these scholarships for additional support. Recipients have truly been blessed to receive such a gift.
