Cobra Kai is a television show based on the famous 90’s movie Karate Kid
. It follows the life of Daniel LeRusso as an adult with a family of his own. The first season became very popular with a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, having launched on YouTube Red May 2, 2018, and renewing for a second season April 24, 2019.

Once filming of season three completed, YouTube decided to stop producing scripted original programming, leaving the show without a home. Netflix bought the series in June 2020, releasing new seasons on their platform. The third season, which debuted January 1, 2021, and given outstanding reviews, compelled Netflix to renewed the series for a fourth season, released December 31, 2021.

Cobra Kai’s fifth season began streaming September 9th, consisting of 10 episodes, and receiving a high rating of 95% on Rotten Tomatoes by fans, and with 100% from critics.
