For Vogue’s 130th celebration, the legendary fashion magazine presented a live editorial fashion show on the streets of New York, which took place September 12th.

The event included a live show, a street fair and a special performance.

This is the first time Vogue has had this event. The street fashion runway show showcased looks from the fall 2022 collections from several designers such as Balenciaga, Dior, Gucci, Valentino and Burberry. The show opened with Serena Williams in a custom Balenciaga gown. Precious Lee closed in a Zac Posen. Posen’s created the gold gown in just ten days. Lil Nas X performed ‘Industry Baby’  during the show in a custom Coach Y2K inspired outfit. He announced he was the new face of the brandy that day.

The runway show featured fashion’s biggest models such as Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Hari Nef, and Imaan Hammam. Consumers will be able to shop select pieces from the show on Moda Operandi, Mytheresa, NET-A-PORTER, Nordstrom, and Ssense. Not only was it a fashion show, it was a street fair. Vogue distributed free editorial archival editions of their magazine and Fendi gave out Fendi baguettes.

Vogue‘s global editor, Anna Wintour, explained, “Fashion is changing and Vogue is doing something special to celebrate it—a fashion show-meets-street fair that captures the creative spirit of our community now.”
