The Addams Family is a fictional family created by Charles Addams, a cartoonist. The Addams Family is a satirical take on the ideal 20th-century American family who are perceived by their peers to be bizarre or frightening. The Addams Family has been a staple in the horror community for years, but did you know that it is also culturally tied to the Hispanic community? Gomez Addams is depicted to be descended from Spain in the first Addams family show, which started in 1964 and ran for two seasons. In the two movies released in 1991-1993, Gomez Addams was also portrayed by a renowned Puerto Rican actor named Raul Julia.

In the new show about Wednesday Addams, the actress, Jenna Ortega is also a Latina. This series also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzmán as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley. Latin representation was a key component in casting for the show. The show already looks great and has a lot of hype even though it doesn’t come out until November 23, 2022.
