If you are staying in Miami this summer and don’t know any fun things to do, the Royal Courier is here to help. Many people go on vacations for the summer, but just because you’re stuck at home this doesn’t mean you can’t make the best of it. Miami is a big tourist attraction during the summer, and as a resident, you may actually enjoy places with the fewest number of tourists. When people come to Miami, they usually go to South beach, Brickell, or Wynwood. So, let’s focus instead on less touristy attractions.

Perez Art Museum
Located in Downtown Miami, the PAMM (Perez Art Museum Miami) is a contemporary art museum featuring a variety of exhibitions. Much of the art there is about current societal topics such as the U.S. Latino Experience, African-American issues, and Cuban and Latin American topics. Not only do they have art, but they also have a cafe lounge outside which sometimes features a live band playing. To top it off, you also have a great ocean view. Tickets range in price from $12-16.

Rooftop Movie Theater
If you want to watch a movie but want to do something different instead of just going to the mall, visit the  Rooftop Movie Theater. This rooftop movie theater is located in Miami Beach. The movies they play are old classics, for example, Top Gun, The Notebook, Mean Girls, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mamma Mia, and more. Ticket range in price from $19-30.

Key West
Going to Miami Beach during the summertime can be a hassle. It’s filled with tourists, it’s hard to find parking, and it’s hard getting a good spot on the beach. Going to the Keys can be a good idea if you want to go to the ocean but don’t want to deal with all the stress. Key West is located just a few driving hours  south of Miami. The best way to enjoy the keys is by boat. There are many places where you can rent one, and have a blast. Even if you don’t rent a boat, you can still visit which at this time of the year, is not so filled with tourists.

Brickell City Centre
Shopping at Dolphin Mall can be overwhelming since it’s always packed and the lines are long. On the other hand, Brickell City Centre is an excellent place for shopping. It doesn’t have as many shoppers and isn’t as vast a venue as Dolphin Mall. Not only for shopping, Brickell City Centre also has fine restaurants and a movie theater.
