SAGE Dining is the number one reason many students pick ILS. Daily breakfast and lunch cooked from scratch are so amazing, the food here is often the first thing that catches the attention of visiting, prospective students.
Once admitted, most sstudents can’t wait to get to lunch. As a result, the lunch line has become a test of their patience and hunger.
The variety offered is a bit surprising. From Korean BBQ, to Indian specialties, Greek grape leaves, hummus, clam chowder, or Mexican street corn, SAGE’s offerings are as diverse as they are inventive. The real question on everyone’s mind is why is SAGE at ILS so special? There are actually several steps.
“The school nutritionist chooses what goes and what doesn’t. We send the nutritionist the plan and if it goes, great! If it doesn’t, we have to come up with a new one,” said Ms. Olga Graveran of SAGE dining.
According to the SAGE Dining website, it all starts with a chef’s recipe that goes through a long process before it becomes part of the menu. Reviewed by SAGE’s Registered Dietitians, tagged for allergens, analyzed based on its nutritional value, and entered into the Recipe Collection of more than 8,000 recipes, ultimately, there’s a different menu for every community.
SAGE considers itself a family company and you can tell it’s true. The staff at ILS are all kind and considerate people who are more than just staff. Their generosity and patience are greatly appreciated by the faculty, staff, and student body.
“Every time I go, no matter what side, I’m always greeted with a smile and good attitude. Plus, even when they are trying to be fast, they manage to be respectful and serve the food with care,” saidd senior Andrea Celada.
Without a doubt, the Royal Lions are grateful to have SAGE Dining serve breakfast and lunch every weekday as no one could ask for a better company to serve such astounding food.
