Hello, Royals!
Boys Soccer: The Royal Lions Boys Varsity soccer team picked up a solid win against Archbishop Carroll 6-1! The team was led by Henry LaRosa who had a hat trick (3 Goals) and 1 assist. Miguel Sosa and Javier Prieto each had a goal and an assist. Pedro Lauria also had a goal in the match. Some other players who had some key assists were Francisco Walker, Santiago Alvarez, Jose Plaza and Nicholas Alietti.
The boys’ varsity team also took down Somerset Silver Palms on Friday 7-0. This brings the varsity teams record to 4-2-1.
JV Soccer picked up a close win against Gulliver Prep, winning the match 1-0. The loan goal came from Mateo Gomez, and it was assisted by Gianluca Sperman.
Girls Basketball: Grabbed 2 big wins this week! On Monday the team beat iMater Academy 63-21
Top Performers in the game were Peilin Aguilar-Hou with 11 points 6 steals, Melissa Carrasco with 11 points, and Alexandra Gonzalez Casar with 11 points 16 rebounds.
JV Lady Royals also defeated iMater 32-7. Emma Beltrán had 6 points while Elisa Fontani added 5 points. Gabriela Lopez also had a nice game adding 8 points to lead the way.
On Thursday, the Varsity team took down TERRA Environmental 51-4. Top Performers were Melissa Carrasco with 17 points and Alexandra Gonzalez Casar with 16 points and 11 rebounds for her 5th consecutive double-double!! The Girls Varsity Royal Basketball team is now 4-2 and looking to continue to get better.
