Hello ,ILS,
Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween weekend. Please take the time to read information below regarding some of the fall teams as they close out the season.
Golf: Our Royals golf teams held their own at the District Championships, especially considering the tougher competition and the more challenging districts both our boys and girls teams compete in this year.
The Royals boys golf team finished 4th overall, shooting a team score of 331 and finishing just five strokes behind the district runner-up. Quentin Blanchet and Rodrigo De Lamo led the way, tying for 13th place with rounds of 82. Connor Heilemann followed with an 83, while Federico Gil shot an 84 to round out the team score. It was a valiant effort under difficult conditions as the boys battled through rain and wind throughout the day. Although their season comes to an end, the team put together one of the more impressive seasons in school history. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and look forward to seeing what they build on next year!
The Lady Royals finished 5th overall with a team score of 371, but their performance was more than enough to accomplish something special. Sofia Olarte led the way with an 86, finishing 10th overall. Ximena Sahagun shot a 93, Ella Doreste finished with a 95, and Sophia Estrada carded a 97.
Following an outstanding season, the Lady Royals have made school history by qualifying for the Regional Championships as a team for the first time in school history! They will compete at Winston Trails Golf Club in Lake Worth on Monday, November 2nd.
Congratulations to both teams on representing the Royals so well. We are proud of the effort, competitiveness, and continued growth of our golf program. Best of luck to the Lady Royals as they continue their historic postseason run! Go Royals!
