What Can I Do During Spring Break?

Spring Break for ILS students is a week and a half long. Because we fortunately have a long vacation, there are a few fun activities in which you can participate. The first activity is traveling.

Traveling does not have to be flying on a plane and visiting different countries. It can be taking a drive to a close city. Traveling is like a getaway from your day-to-day life. You can learn about a new place that you are not used to and relieve some of the stress from school. Senior Renata Alvarez Gil is going on her traditional road trip to St. Petersburg this Easter.

“I go with my grandparents to the beach and we go to restaurants at night for dinner,” said Renata.

Another activity you can partake in during Easter is spending quality time with friends. During the hustle and bustle of school, it can be hard to make time with friends due to studying and homework. During this break, you can catch up on getting together and chatting. You can make new memories by visiting a museum, going to the beach, or watching a movie. Senior Marina Muller is heading to a beach hangout to tan with her friends..

To get my mind off of work, I am going to Key Biscayne with my best friends and eating sushi with them on the beach”

Lastly, this spring break you can focus on self-improvement. This can be in the form of physical exercise, spirituality, or journaling. Working out can improve your mood and you can achieve this in various ways such as walking, running, or bike riding. Spiritually, you can go to Mass on Easter Sunday and celebrate Jesus’ Resurrection. In journaling, you can write down your goals and intentions for the rest of the school year. Senior Maria Castro is working on her way toward self-improvement this Easter.

“I am focusing on improving myself by going on daily walks instead of napping,” said Maria.
