Immaculata-La Salle has recently changed the way students now get their lunch for this year. In the past, ILS had cafeteria employees serving food to students as the latter simply informed them of their food choice. Not many people had a problem with this system, with students getting their meal relatively fast and with people being used to this. Now with a different system, students now go up to the line and they have the power of getting their food themselves. There’s a bowl with the various food choices where students can choose any meal. A separate station where there’s only one employee serving food is still being used, so students don’t have to serve themselves if they prefer not to. Many students have mixed opinions on this change of food system, whether it faster and more effective.

Sophomore Sean Lui says he doesn’t like the lunch food either way so doesn’t eat lunch in the main line very often.
“I haven’t tried this new system because I think it’s ineffective and slow, so I eat at the separate station.”
Violeta Fausciana, another sophomore, echoes his sentiments.
“I think it makes the line go slower and you can tell the line is longer,” she said.
Not everyone agrees as there are some fans for the new system.
Junior Mystra toffalo Akil believes it’s a positive change, and it works better.
“I think it’s great, way more efficient. Everybody knows that they need, so you don’t have to overfeed yourself,” she said.
