Immaculate La Salle was buzzing with excitement this past Wednesday, September 17, as students gathered for the annual Club Fair. Hallways and open spaces filled with tables, colorful posters, candy bowls, and sign-up sheets as club leaders called out to friends and classmates, hoping to spark interest in their groups.
The choices covered every interest. Students who wanted to lead or serve could check out Student Council, Ambassadors, LINK, Key Club, or SALTT (Service and Leadership for Today & Tomorrow). Service groups like Purple Hearts, Be the Light, and CRS (Catholic Relief Services) focused on making a difference both locally and globally.
Career-focused clubs such as HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), DECA, Financial Literacy Club, and the Athletic Training Club gave students the chance to explore future professions while gaining real-world experience. HOSA even had students in scrubs handing out information about upcoming competitions.
Creativity and culture had a big spotlight, too. The Drama Club, Fine Arts Club, Glee Club, Band, Fashion Club, and Sports Broadcasting Club showed off talent and school spirit, some even playing music or displaying art. Cultural organizations like the Japan Club, Portuguese Language and Culture Club, and Spanish Honor Society invited students to celebrate traditions through food, music, and fun activities.
“I didn’t realize there were this many choices. I thought I’d join one club, but now I’m signing up for three,” said freshmen Mia Jolie.
Some groups drew especially big crowds. The Mock Trial Club kept students entertained by acting out parts of a case, while others stopped to watch Sports Broadcasting play highlight reels from past games.
By the end of the fair, students left not just with papers and treats but also with excitement about what’s ahead.
“Events like this show how much school spirit we have,” added sophomore and SALTT member, Ximena Guerrero. “It makes you proud to be a Royal.”
