Tomorrow is the day that ILS will come alive with music, food, and tradition during the annual Feria Latina, one of the most anticipated cultural events of the school year. Students, faculty, and families are preparing for a day that highlights the rich diversity of Latin America while strengthening school spirit.
The cafeteria will transform into a festival of sights and sounds, with student-run booths representing countries across Latin America. Each booth will showcase national foods, music, and cultural traditions. From sweet treats like alfajores to savory plates such as empanadas and arepas, the variety of dishes promises to offer something for everyone.
“This is more than just food and music—it’s a way for us to honor our families and share our culture with our classmates,” said sophomore Ana Noguera, who will be among those contributing to the event.
The event is designed not only for fun but also as an educational experience. Students spend weeks researching their assigned country, preparing presentations, and rehearsing performances. The fair will also feature student dancers and musicians who have been practicing traditional routines and songs. To start the day off, students will be attending the Feria Latina Mass.

Teachers and parents are expected to join in, making the Feria Latina more than just a school event. Organizers say the goal is to create a space where cultures can be honored, shared, and enjoyed by the entire community.
Sophmore and SALTT member Mia Russomano, who has been involved since her freshman year, summed up the excitement best: “Feria Latina is one of those traditions that makes our school unique—it brings us together in a way that nothing else does.”
As the campus prepares for Friday’s festivities, the anticipation is building. Feria Latina is expected to once again showcase the pride, unity, and energy that define ILS.
