The heights of adventure are calling at Immaculata La Salle High School! On January 22, 2026, the ILS Rock Climbing Club hosts its latest and most delicious event: the Climbing Club Fundraiser (Doughnut Sale). To fuel their upcoming expeditions and equipment needs, club members will be stationed in the cafeteria throughout the event, selling fresh, tasty doughnuts for just $3 each.

This fundraiser represents more than just a sweet mid-day treat; it is a vital step in building a foundation for a sport that emphasizes grit, problem-solving, and a tight-knit community. The proceeds will directly impact the club’s ability to expand its horizons and provide better resources for its growing membership. As sophomore Andrea Pizzorni explains, the goal is both practical and forward-looking for the group’s development.
“We are raising money to find a new place to climb,” Pizzorni shared, highlighting the club’s desire to explore new professional facilities and diverse outdoor routes that will challenge their skills.
The Rock Climbing Club was built on a core philosophy: that anyone, regardless of their athletic background or starting point, can eventually reach the summit. Senior and club founder Dante Caicedo remains deeply dedicated to breaking down barriers to entry and making the sport accessible to the entire student body.
“Come and help us raise money so that we can help people find their place in rock climbing because it truly is an activity that is for everyone,” Caicedo remarked.
His vision has created a unique space on campus where students of all skill levels can challenge themselves both physically and mentally.
The positive impact of the club is felt even by the faculty who observe the students’ growth. Theology teacher Ms/ Katie Church has witnessed a significant transformation in the students involved in the program.
“Seeing how much passion the kids put into this club, and seeing how much good they can do, really brings so much joy to them and I think that’s amazing,” Ms. Church noted. This sense of joy and purpose is exactly what the fundraiser aims to sustain.
Whether you are looking for a delicious snack to get you through the afternoon or you simply want to support a thriving and passionate student community, make sure to stop by the cafeteria on the 22nd. Beyond the $3 doughnuts, general donations are always welcome to help the team reach their financial goals—simply speak with any of the club members at the sale to contribute. Every dollar brings the team one step closer to their next peak. Let’s come together to help the ILS Rock Climbing Club reach its next summit!
