Hello, ILS Family!
As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week with the theme, “United in Faith and Community,” we are reminded of the foundational legacy left to us by St. John Bosco. His life exemplifies the call for all to live lives with an openness to BE SAINTS: His formula was simple, “be happy. study. pray. do good.”
As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, we are reminded that our identity and mission are rooted in being Anchored in Christ with hope and peace. Catholic education calls us not only to grow in knowledge, but to form hearts that are compassionate, faithful, and committed to the good of others.
In preparation for the Feast of St. John Bosco, we are invited to renew our Salesian call to be present, to accompany the young and one another, and to create communities where every person feels known, valued, and loved. Don Bosco believed that young people flourish when they are met with kindness, joy, and trust. During this special time, we are challenged to seek meaningful ways to be agents of hope and peace in our world through our words, our actions, and our relationships. Rooted in Christ and inspired by Don Bosco’s example, we continue the work he began.
In this spirit, we recognize the unwavering trust Don Bosco had in the guidance of Mary Help of Christians. She, too, embodies hope and leads us to trust in God’s plan for each of us, especially when the way seems uncertain. Just as Don Bosco placed his trust in her intercession, we, too, are invited to find courage and hope in Mary’s loving embrace.
As we celebrate Don Bosco’s life and teachings, let us continue to be inspired by his model of charity, and together, may we deepen our hope and grow in love as we unite in faith and community.

for you I work,
