Here’s your Sports Flash and schedule for this short week.
Softball: ILS Softball had a successful week with two wins against Carrolton and Ransom Everglades.
Royals 1 – Carrolton 7: ILS got their first win on the back of excellent pitching from Freshman Leighton Jamin who had 13 strikeouts and no earned runs in her first complete game. Freshman Isabela Steiner also caught her first complete game and had a solid performance behind the plate. Top hitting in the game came from Junior Maria Lutsenko, sophomore Khloe Concepcion, and Emma Arce.
Royals 17 – Ransom Everglades 16: Ransom Everglades came to play! They started the game hitting well and had a lead going into the 4th inning, until our bats woke up! LaSalle scored eight times in the 4th inning capped off by a 3 run inside the park homerun by Sophomore Emma Arce! Her fourth on the year! she also had a double and a single and had a total of five RBI’s, and she pitched exceptionally well! Senior Emma Space had an awesome game with four hits and three runs scored. Freshman Leighton Jamin had three hits, scored a run and pitched exceptionally well in relief. Freshman Daria Pereira had two key hits including a double that scored the game winning run!
Baseball: The boys went 2-1 this week with a strong overall showing. They opened by dominating Marathon HS in a 12-4 victory, putting together a complete performance on both sides of the ball. After a tough loss to Columbus in their second game, the team showed resilience and bounced back in a big way against Dade Christian. In a thrilling 3-2 battle, they walked it off thanks to a clutch, game-winning RBI from Hector Sosa to cap off an exciting week.
Boys Volleyball: Boys Volleyball continued their strong run this season, adding two more impressive wins to their record this week and improving to 11-4 overall. They opened with a straight-set victory over Ransom, winning 25-19, 25-18, and 25-23, showing consistency and control throughout the match.
They followed that performance with another dominant outing against Divine Savior, again winning in straight sets 25-22, 25-16, and a tightly contested 27-25 finish to close it out.
The team continues to build momentum at the right time, now sitting ranked 53rd out of 226 schools statewide and 8th in the 1A classification. Junior Danny Auza has been a major force leading the charge, currently ranked #1 in the state of Florida in kills with an impressive 355 on the season.
Track:
Tennis: The tennis team faced a tough challenge this week, falling to Gulliver, but the effort and competitiveness were evident across the board. The group continues to show resilience and a willingness to battle in every match, gaining valuable experience against strong opponents.
With one final regular season match remaining next week, the team has a great opportunity to build momentum and fine-tune their game heading into the postseason. The focus remains sharp, and the energy is high as they prepare to close out the regular season on a strong note.
All eyes are now on the playoffs beginning April 13, where this team is eager for a chance to make a run. With their determination and continued growth, they’re poised to compete and embrace the challenge ahead.
Beach Volleyball: Beach Volleyball went 1-2 this week, earning a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Miami Beach. The team showed great resilience in the win, battling through close matches to secure the overall victory. They came up short in their other two contests, falling to St. Brendan and Carrollton but continue to compete and improve with each outing.
Track: The track & field team continues to show steady growth as the season progresses, with athletes improving each week and gaining confidence in their events. From the sprints to distance races and field events, the hard work being put in at practice is starting to translate into stronger performances on meet days.
Athletes are setting new personal records, sharpening their technique, and competing with greater intensity. More importantly, the team is building depth across all events, which will be key as competition ramps up later in the season.

Monday, March 30, 2026: Baseball travels to Palmetto for a 3:30PM first pitch.
Beach VB hosts Carrollton for a 3:30 match.
Tuesday, March 31, 2026: 🚨BASEBALL SENIOR NIGHT! 🚨They will be hosting Downtown Doral at 6:30PM at St. Thomas University.
Softball travels to Buckey Dent Park for a 3:30PM first pitch vs Mater Academy.
Tennis team travels to KW for their last match of the season and will be honoring their seniors there.
Track team travels to Belen for a track meet.
Boys Volleyball travels to Belen for a 4/5:30 JV/V match.
