Boys Volleyball: The Boys Volleyball team delivered an unforgettable performance in the Regional Quarterfinals, rallying for a thrilling five-set victory over Somerset South Homestead. After dropping the first two sets in tightly contested battles, the team found themselves on the brink with no room for error.
Facing elimination, they responded in dominant fashion taking control of the match and winning the next three sets 25-16, 25-18, and a nail-biting 15-13 to complete the comeback.
It was a true display of resilience, composure, and heart. With the win, the team advances to the Regional Semifinals for the second consecutive year, continuing what has been an outstanding postseason run.
Softball: The softball team wrapped up their season in the district championship game against Florida Christian, falling just short, but not without showing the grit, resilience, and fight that defined their entire year. This group competed hard from start to finish, embracing every challenge and representing the program with pride.
Reaching the district championship for the third time in the past five years is no small feat it speaks volumes about the consistency, culture, and commitment within the program. Year after year, this team continues to put itself in position to compete.
While the result wasn’t what they hoped for, there’s no denying the effort, growth, and heart this team displayed all season long. Proud of this group and everything they accomplished. The standard remains high, and the future is bright.
Track: The track and field team delivered an outstanding performance at the regional meet, highlighted by multiple individual champions and several state qualifiers.
Leading the way, Krystal Inhoof put together a dominant showing, capturing two regional titles. She claimed 1st place in the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.92M and followed it up by winning the Long Jump with a mark of 5.55M. On the boys’ side, Pablo Aldecoa earned a regional championship of his own, taking 1st in the 400M hurdles with an impressive time of 54.86.
The team’s success extended beyond individual events, as both the girls and boys 4×100 relay teams qualified for the state championship race. The boys 4×400 relay team also punched their ticket to states with a strong performance. Additionally, Daniel Marin secured his spot at the state meet by qualifying individually in the 100M.
Congratulations to all our athletes and coaches for their hard work and dedication. The team continues to build momentum as they prepare to compete at the state championship!
