“I love Honey Veil; it’s my favorite place to get matcha. The banana bread matcha is my favorite,” said junior Isabella Sanchez.
One of Honey Veil’s most popular drinks is the iced matcha latte with honey whip. According to reviews, the honey whip adds sweetness without overpowering the matcha flavor. The cafe also offers unique options like banana bread matcha and espresso matcha, giving customers a wide variety of flavors to try. Along with drinks, Honey Veil serves baked goods including sourdough bread, blueberry lemon scones, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and avocado toast topped with crispy prosciutto.
“I love Honey Veil so much that I’ve been going since they started off as a truck. I really enjoy their matcha and all of their pastries. I also really liked their coffee, and I’m not a coffee person at all,” shared junior Eva Mesa.
Honey Veil first started as a small trailer before becoming a permanent cafe in South Miami. The business is family owned, with different family members helping manage baking, operations, and new menu ideas. Their menu focuses on cleaner ingredients like maple syrup, honey, and coconut sugar instead of refined sugar.
“Honey Veil has the best cinnamon rolls. I love getting them after work out classes,” shared junior Carlota Beltran.
The cafe’s popularity has grown quickly thanks to TikTok and social media posts showing colorful drinks and aesthetic pastries. For many students, Honey Veil has become more than just a coffee shop. It is now a popular meeting spot and one of the trendiest cafes in Miami.
