The gym was pretty full before the match started. Everyone knew playing Don Soffer Aventura on their home court was going to be an exciting away game, so plenty of fans made the trip to fill up the stands and show their support for the team.

ILS started off strong in the opening set. The team came out focused, passing well off serve, receive, and setting up clean hits at the net. ILS controlled the overall pace early on and ended up taking the first set 25-18.

Don Soffer bounced back sharply over the next two sets. ILS started making unforced errors all around the floor, struggling with miscommunication, missed serves, and out-of-bounds hits. Don Soffer took full advantage of those mistakes, controlling the momentum to take both the second and third sets 25-23 and 25-16, which put ILS down 2-1 overall in the match.

With all of this pressure, ILS needed a huge response in the fourth set to keep the game alive. Neither side gave up any easy points, and the score remained tied up all the way past twenty-five. ILS cleaned up their play, held their composure under pressure, and finished out a thrilling 27-25 win to force a deciding fifth set.

The overall tension was high going into the final tiebreaker set to 15 points. ILS jumped out to an early lead behind solid serving and good communication on the floor. Don Soffer tried to make a late push down the stretch, but ILS stayed composed on the final few rallies and closed out the set 15-12 to lock in the hard-fought 3-2 victory.

It was a long, back-and-forth battle, but in the end ILS showed tremendous resilience by recovering from their mistakes to secure a great win on the road in front of an energetic crowd.
