Good morning ILS Family,
Here’s your sports report and sports schedule.
Cross Country: For the boys team, Felipe Garcia Correa ran the third best time in school history with a 17:01 good for second place overall, Andrew Brito ran the 4th best time in school history with a 17:34 he finished 3rd overall and Benjamin Pieri ran an 18:33 which is the 8th best time in school history and he finished 4th overall.
For the girls team, Guillermina Quintero ran her personal best 23:10 she finished second overall, Myah Taher ran a 25:15 which was good for 5th place overall, and Elina Quirno-Costa finished 7th overall with a personal best 26:05.
The girls won the overall meet and the boys finished 2nd.
Volleyball: Not the weekend we were hoping for in Tampa, but our Royals were tested against some of the toughest volleyball programs from across the state of Florida.
These are the weekends that challenge you, expose areas for growth, and help prepare you for the battles ahead. We’ll take the lessons, get back to work, and continue to get better.
Golf: A busy week for the Royal Lions Golf team.
Monday the boys team lost a close one by only 6 strokes to a tough Doral team. Leading the way was sophomore Federico Terzani who shot 40. The girls’ team was led by freshman Ella Doreste who shot 42.
On Tuesday, the girls team fell to Lourdes in a tight match. Sofia Olarte and Ella Doreste each shot 43.
Wednesday, the boys team defeated Florida Christian led by sophomore Quentin Blanchet with a score of 42.
A very solid week of golf for the Royals as they continue to compete and raise the standard.

Golf travels to Trump National for a match vs Divine Savior 3:00PM.
Wednesday, September 23, 2026: Volleyball travels to SLAM for a 3:30/5PM match.
Golf hosts Palmer at Crandon Park 3:00PM.
Swimming travels to Doral for a 12;30PM meet.
Thursday, September 24, 2026: Freshman Volleyball team hosts Cushman for a 3:30PM match in the Lion’s Den.
Friday, September 25, 2026: Football hosts Ransom for a 7:00PM kick-off. The winner will be crowned District Champion for the 2026 season after both teams defeated Gulliver earlier in the year.
Volleyball team travels to Florida Christian for the varsity tournament.
