Juliana Quintana is a sophomore at Immaculata-La Salle High School with a quiet but powerfull creative spirit. She uses drawing as her language to express what’s inside her head, a way to capture feeling in color and line that words sometimes can’t reach.
There’s something special about the way Juliana approaches her art. She doesn’t just doodle or sketch mindlessly. When she draws, she’s trying to show people what she sees and what she feels.
“Drawing lets me express things I can’t always say out loud,” she explains. “It’s like my own way of talking to the world.”
Living in Miami, Juliana finds inspiration everywhere: in the way light hits the water, in the architecture around her, in moments that stick with her. These observations become sketches that feel genuine and deeply personal. She’s always got a sketchbook with her, capturing ideas whenever they come to her.
Her classmate, Sebastian Olhovich, sophomore recognizes how seriously she takes her craft.
“Juliana doesn’t just make art for no reason,” he said. “Everything she creates has something real behind it. You can feel that she cares.”
What makes Juliana stand out is her understanding that creativity isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being honest. Whether she’s struggling with a piece that won’t come out right or trying a new technique, she sees each challenge as part of the process, a chance to get closer to what she’s really trying to show.
As she moves through high school, Juliana’s passion for drawing continues to shape who she is. Her art is how she makes sense of the world and connects with the people around her.
