For junior Benjamin Pieri, living a meaningful life begins with faith. Prayer, compassion, and helping others guide his daily choices as he works to become a stronger and more purposeful person.
Benjamin said the activities that matter most to him include spending time in prayer, sharing his joy, and encouraging others to lead meaningful lives. His faith influences the way he treats people and motivates him to improve each day.
Recently, Benjamin faced an extremely difficult decision that required him to make a major sacrifice. Although the experience challenged him, he chose to view it as an opportunity to grow instead of allowing it to stop him.
“The sacrifice was difficult, but it taught me to trust God and become stronger,” Benjamin said.
Through the experience, Benjamin learned more about his values and the person he wants to become. He considers his proudest achievement to be developing into someone who feels confident, lives honestly, and continues growing through difficult situations.
The people around Benjamin have also noticed his faith, determination, and willingness to help others.
“Benjamin always tries to support others and bring positive energy wherever he goes,” said Isa Gonzalez, one of his friends.
His actions have influenced not only his own development, but also the friends and family members who have watched him grow. Their encouragement motivates him to remain committed to his beliefs and goals.
“I have watched Benjamin become more confident, responsible, and dedicated to his faith,” said Sofia Olarte, a member of Benjamin’s family.
In the future, Benjamin hopes to deepen his faith and find greater peace in everything he does for God. He also wants to create more consistency in his life by practicing his sport more frequently, dedicating additional effort to creative projects, and supporting the people around him.
One quotation that has influenced Benjamin is, “Nobody said it was easy, but everyone said it was worth it.”
He views the saying as more than a simple source of motivation. To him, it is a reminder that the most valuable goals are often the most difficult to achieve.
By remaining faithful, determined and compassionate, Benjamin hopes to continue becoming a better version of himself. His experiences have taught him that challenges can create opportunities for growth and that living with purpose means using personal strength to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
