At Immaculata-La Salle, students come together to pray the Rosary as a way to strengthen their faith and take a break from the stress of everyday school life. The school Rosary gives students an opportunity to pray together, reflect, and connect with God as a community.
The Rosary is a Catholic prayer that focuses on important events in the lives of Jesus and Mary. At school, students gather together to pray each decade and reflect on the meaning behind the prayers. For many students, it is also a chance to slow down and take a peaceful moment during a busy school day.
The Rosary can also be a way for students to pray for their families, friends, and other people who may need support. By praying together, students are reminded that they are part of a larger community that shares the same faith.
Junior Lise Fifer said the Rosary has a positive effect on her because it allows her to take a step back from everything happening around her.
“Sometimes school can get really stressful, so praying the Rosary gives me a chance to calm down and focus on my faith,” she said.
For some students, participating in the Rosary is also about continuing a tradition that has been important to Catholics for generations. It allows students to practice their faith while encouraging others to do the same.
Junior Camila Arancibia said praying with other students makes the experience more meaningful.
“I like that we can all come together and pray as a school over the loud speaker because it makes us feel more united,” she said.
The school Rosary is more than just a prayer. It gives students time to reflect, strengthen their relationship with God, and support one another. By coming together in prayer, students are reminded of the importance of faith and community in their daily lives.
