BABY season 3 review
September 29, 2020
Last Wednesday, September 16th, the new season of the series “Baby” came out on Netflix.
It seems like it was yesterday that “Baby” debuted on Netflix with a ton of hype around it given its inspiration in the real-life Baby Squillo scandal. Many teens got engaged in the story of Chiara (Benedetta Porcaroli) and Ludovica (Alice Pagani) and their pimps Saverio and Fiore.
This last season provided a conclusive and natural ending for the Netflix show. It provided closure many viewers were in desperate need of. The six last episodes were predictable, it was less about twists, and more about character developments.
Senior Valeria Pinzon thought that the new season made her truly understand the plot of Baby as she pieced everything together.
“I think this last season was the best one yet,” said Pinzon. “The ending was just so special and sad I cried.”
The most interesting aspect of this story has always been the girls, and how they exist in the difficult middle ground between the short-term benefits of money and protection and the long-term risk to their health and freedoms makes the story even more interesting.
“Ever since Baby came out 3 years ago, it was just so interesting especially because of the unique characters. The girls are just so different that it makes want to have a real connection with the characters,” said senior Sofia Arteaga.
This last season made sure to address topics like consent, class, relative privilege, and friendship. This last season really felt like a conclusion and a difficult journey that two fiends shared together.
“This season has showed me what a real friendship should consist of. I saw many different types of relationships and problems that I never took into account before,” said senior Arianne Cendon.

The ending was a very good and one, making Baby one of the few Netflix shows that has left series fanatics satisfied.
