ILS Family Ministry Annual Advent Gathering Coming Up!
December 4, 2020
ILS Family Ministry is hosting their annual Advent Gathering virtually this coming Monday, December 7th from 7 pm to 7:30 pm.
ILS teachers, Mrs. Beltran and Ms. Santana, have worked hard to plan the evening, which will consist of introductions, reflection, prayer and a family Kahoot afterwards on the season of Advent and our ILS school.
“Advent is a time of preparation for the welcoming of Jesus. It starts 4 Sundays before Christmas and families prepare in different ways,” said Ms. Santana.
“The ILS Advent family gathering is the perfect time for all our ILS families to come together and pray together and play together. It’s a wonderful addition to every family’s Advent preparation,” she continued.
All ILS families are invited to participate and take part in this special Advent celebration. This is the perfect opportunity for parents to get a look into the spirituality their children have been exposed to at ILS.
“This gathering provides students the perfect opportunity to share some of their ILS Spirituality with their families. To share with their parents their school, a place they learn at, feel safe and at home, and gather to pray and have fun together,” said Ms. Santana.
During these trying times, it is especially important to set aside time for reflection and family. This event will allow for just that.
“I hope for a little while on this night that everyone can relax and be present in the moment as a family, enjoying themselves and being grateful for each other and all the blessings in theirs lives,” said Ms. Santana.
The ILS family has had to be physically distant for a while now, but that doesn’t mean everyone can’t be together spiritually during the Advent season.
Make sure to join the ILS Family Ministry Zoom for the Advent Gathering on December 7th at 7 pm by clicking the link sent via ILS email to all students and parents by Mrs. Beltran! It will be a lovely evening and you won’t want to miss it.
