Once upon a time, there were two big streaming players, Netflix and Hulu. They had been competing for years on end and apparently, Hulu got a little jealous because Netflix kept taking the win.
Netflix, the reigning champ, has loads of shows and movies for a monthly fee of:
Standard with ads: $6.99
Standard: $15.49
Premium: $22.99
Netflix has also been known for families loving it for the wide variety and original series like Grey’s Anatomy and Gilmore Girls. Netflix has also created a great reputation for itself.
But then there came Hulu which has more content passing through it regularly, featuring cool shows and next-day episodes of TV hits for a slightly lower price. People who were into the latest TV crazes flocked to Hulu for programs such as The Handmaid’s Tale and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Both streaming giants have always been trying to outdo each other. with Netflix dropping big-budget shows and movies, while Hulu snagged exclusive rights to popular series. The competition has been fierce!
But here’s the thing: Netflix had a bigger library overall, with tons of stuff to pick from. Hulu had fewer options, but it made up for it with lower prices and quick access to the latest episodes.
“I honestly love both because sometimes Hulu has options that Netflix doesn’t but if I really had to choose between one and the other, it’d be Netflix,” said senior Camilla Souza.
“I honestly have used Hulu very few times and it’s not bad but I definitely prefer Netflix,” said senior Michelle Rodriguez.
“I have a subscription to both of them and I really enjoy both but I tend to use Netflix way more often,” said senior Emilie Reyes.
In the end, it all comes down to what the people want. Some went for Netflix’s massive selection, willing to pay a bit more for it. Others were happy with Hulu’s smaller lineup and cheaper bill. It was like choosing between a giant buffet or a cozy diner.
