The son who does ask for his inheritance upfront, takes off and wastes all of his inheritance only to return begging to be readmitted to his father’s household even in a lowly position as a peasant or servant. The magnanimous father, instead of giving his wayward son the scraps of his table or heaping scorn upon him, welcomes the Prodigal Son with open arms, including hosting a feast on his behalf.
At the end of the day, President Biden, chose to be like the father in the Prodigal Son story, full of forgiveness and love.
